Databases
What is a Database?
A database is an online collection of magazine articles, encyclopedia articles, and other information that can be useful for student research. We have everything from databases that will read themselves to you, to information for parents and other grownups to use!
Databases are great resources because the information has been collected by the database provider and is safe, reliable, accurate and advertisement free. The search engines contained in the databases return information that students know is reliable. They are a great alternative to the Internet.
Some of our databases are provided by the State of New York through a project called NOVELny and some through CRCS. You can log in in school without a password but please see Mrs. Gagnon for a complete list of passwords to use to log in at home.
